water filter

does anyone here use a water filter for drinking, and if so, do you know about what ones is the best for safe, clean drinking water?
It would seem eay to invest in one, instead of the constant trip to the store to buy gallons of water.(which may OR may not be reverse osmosis, or spring as it may state.
I ggogled best filters and came up with a brita…and it did not look very effective.
so can I get the low-down from someone here who may have researched some out there and maybe has experience using it.

Berkey.

thanks. I went to the website and am looking and reading.
I take it you have one, Scott.
Do you just pour water in from the tap and then the gravity feed does the work…?
do you like the stainless steel or the light transparent one?
is this the best one out on the market?

I don’t have one, but have been thinking of getting one for a while, and also using the flouride filter that comes as a free gift.

I got a Berkey water filter a couple of months ago and I’ve been really happy with it. The difference in taste is pretty big compared to tap water.
I actually lost about 7-8 pounds from the water filter which I thought was really impressive. Don’t forget there are lots of endocrine disruptors in tap water the can make you fat.
