Vijnana Bhairava Tantra

As most of you would possibly be knowing, the VBT has 112 meditations. Only two relate to sexual practices, which in my view, is best left for agoris who we cannot just snap our fingers and emulate whilst engaging in our urban lifestyle. Likewise advanced kriya yoga techniques such as Khechari Mudra best avoided unless we have done the preparatory work and are guided by an adept.

I have written verses on these meditations, based on my understanding of the presentation of Swami Lakshmanjoo, who has elaborated them in his book, The manual for self-realisation.

I’m not providing links on how to download the book since copyright issues can be involved. However, what I can do is the next best thing, that is to provide a link to my poems on these meditations, which you may go through, if so drawn.

The reason I’m sharing is to suggest that we avoid shortcuts in our quest for God realisation and adopt natural practices, if at all we feel the need to practice anything at all. In my view, apart from purifying the heart and resting in silence as our default orientation, nothing need be done. Rest assured, the currents will carry us.

God bless.
