Too frequent nocturnal emissions recently

What can a doctor do? They won’t give a damn about my anguish, their textbooks are full of lies that ejaculation is good. What about the father or others, how can they help?

The following works for me when it has been a few days since the last ejaculation and I can feel the sexual energy building again, but need a good night’s sleep with no ejaculation.
Before bed, I sit in Siddhasana for five minutes.
I make the mental intention to store and build my sexual energy, by saying silently in my mind something along the lines of, “I ask my body to store and build my sexual energy. I ask for it to strengthen and renew me”.
I will then do 3-5 rounds of spinal breathing.
I would guess your crying, cursing and despairing and the mental images you are holding of the situation whilst you are in despair are really telling your body to continue nocturnal emissions. Perhaps you could observe these thoughts from inner silence and begin to put some distance between yourself and the fears, and then set your intention towards storing the energy or using it during your waking hours.

Thanks for your reply. You are right that I’m in deep despair. But how can I not be when my life essences are thrown away night after night? Ironically when the frequency was about once a week I told myself I would stop obsessing about this problem and it would go away, but as if to break my spirit, in the last 10 days I have had about 6 emissions. Unbelievable but true. And worse, it has moved from dream emissions to deep sleep emissions without dream. I’m totally screwed. I’m thinking of going to a urologist but not sure he will help.

I understand your situation.
Here are a few things that can work wonder for you:

  • Make it a point to do Siddhasan as much as possible; not only during yoga practices. You may do it while reading, just sitting etc. And as someone suggested, remember to do it for 10 mins just before sleep. If feasible, do the proper formal Siddhasan - heel of lower foot pressing gently against perineum and heel of upper foot approximately on genitals comfortably.
  • Pray to God that “I sincerely want to merge in You. I am sure that You will help me in preserving my energy so that this energy will be utilized for my spiritual practice.” You may change words but attitude is important - full of bhakti and surrender. If you don’t believe in God, give auto-suggestion to subconscious that “let there be no emissions; in any situation, I will control myself and conquer the lust”
  • Practice the contracting and strengthening the muscles that control the release of Urine. You may do it along with yoga practices and also during daytime.
  • Never sleep on your back!!! Always sleep on either left side or right side. (At night, sleeping on left side is better). For details, refer to http://spiritualresearchfoundation.org/articles/?id=spiritualresearch/spiritualscience/sleep-postures
  • Don’t drink hot milk before sleep
  • Avoid spicy foods, onion, garlic etc. And include veg, fruits in your diet
  • During waking-time also, don’t let thoughts of lust overwhelm you. Think of yourself surrounded and protected by divine light all the time.
    And use following technique to reinforce the protection whenever you find time (esp do it before sleep):

  • Be in Shavaasan by laying down on back (if going to sleep after
    this, lay down on either side and not on back). Keep feet slightly
    apart and palms preferably facing upwards.
  • Close the eyes. Take some deep breaths and allow complete relaxation
    of body and mind. Adjust any body parts to make them relaxed.
  • Do prayer for spiritual goal and for the present practice to be
    helpful in taking you nearer to God.
  • Start from toes and feet (both the legs). Feel them from inside
    (eyes closed). You may feel inner vibrations there. Now feel the God’s
    light manifesting from inside each cell of toes and feet and slowly
    working its way from there towards outside. As this happens, they
    become still more relaxed. Then feel those body parts being completely
    transformed into God’s light - inside and out and over and below. Now
    you can feel that area in light and with weightlessness. Remain
    thankful to God while all the grace is bestowed upon you.
  • Now come up on shins. Do this same above procedure in each detail on
    shins. Then on knees. Then thighs. Then pelvic region. Then abdominal
    region. Then hands and palms. Then chest and throat. Then face and
    head.
  • Feel your body completely covered and transformed into God’s light -
    inside and out and over and below. Remain thankful to God all the
    while.
  • You will notice that thoughts have significantly subsided. Now feel
    God’s light dissolving your remaining thoughts also. And all being
    transformed into light.
  • Now feel the light transforming everything in the suroundings also.
    Thus in the end, only God’s light remains. Be in this state as long as
    possible.
  • When it’s time to complete the practice, thank God again for giving
    this Bhaav and taking this service from you and bestowing His grace
    upon you.
  • Then slowly become aware of mind and body while still trying to
    retain the state of lightness you have gained as much as possible.
    Take this lightness and rememberence along with you in all your
    further activities.
  • Give at least 10-15 minutes for each session. Once you have
    practised this method a couple of times, you may do it in any posture
    and in any surroundings. This will provide immense freshness and
    positive energy. This will also purify the atmosphere.

I have found a few things that could help

  • Do not sleep too late or be too tired before sleeping. Get good regular sleep.
  • Avoid cold foods, sweet foods, especially before sleeping.
  • Avoid teas, coffees. They excite the nervous system.
  • Try to have pure thoughts before sleeping and ideally throughout the day. If you find your mind wondering try to bring it back or divert it to more divine things.
  • There may be some herbs or combination of herbs that may help. If someone can comment on this.
  • These could weaken the body so information of foods/herbs which can strengthen the body would be helpful if someone can comment on this please.

You will never be able to stop your nocturnal emissions if you keep yourself involved in indulging. The very key thing about stopping nocturnal emissions is psychological control. If me are some one tell you this it will look something like wrong or unacceptable to you. You will understand the truth yourself as the time goes.

What mr.hopeless ejaculator Maximus means is that you can’t eradicate the seed of desire by escaping from it. But if you treat desire as the desire of God and consider yourself as serving God by taking appropriate action, then you are not creating deeper grooves, and are working towards liberation.

There is absolutely no escapism in any of the techniques i mentioned. The techniques involves controlling, slow and study, and bringing the desires and the senses under your control over a period of months to year(s). These techniques have worked for years and several thousands of people succeeded using them. One can never advance even a millimeter in yoga if (s)he does not have self-control.

[/quote] If you are serving desire of God, you are not going to go beyond His/Her level. Yoga involves going to the very highest level, to the level of parama-atman. Not just to a level of some Demigod.

Actually you do need to create deeper grooves, but, to be done very slowly and study. With out deeper grooves your psychology will not change. Without chipping the stone properly you can never make a nice sculpture.

I think the main difference in Maximus approach and my techniques are the differences between the left handed tantric and the right handed tantric systems. Maximus is trying to follow the left handed tantric system. If he has to do so, he need to have a very well established and succeeded Guru from who he can get advise from and follow. Even the left handed tantric system involves tremendous amount of psychological control. It is not indulging 24x7. Only a well established Guru in left handed tantric system can help him.
It is is my personal opinion that left handed tantric system will get you some higher level in spiritual path but will never take you to the top level, i mean all the way to liberation. At one level one has to migrate from left handed tantric system to right handed tantric system to keep going higher.

Yoga is stilling of the mind. The man who is successful with women has the freedom to not think about women (even while having sex) for he has seen both sides of the coin. His mind is stiller than one who isn’t successful with women. He can conquer both attachment to women and attachment to inaction. One who doesn’t act conquers neither. As long as stillness is the result of action, that action is to be revered as holy. Nothing else matters.

I would not consider avoiding something is escapism. Say for example, if i am diabetic i would avoid sugar. It does not mean i am escaping from sugar. I am controlling my mind not to take sugar. That is it.
Even if you consider it as escapism, if that is what is required to achieve something, there is nothing wrong in doing it. As per me, there is no point in bringing the cotton and fire together and then complaining Ooo…my cotton got fire…
Experimenting is the key. Let Maximus try as per his concepts, let him find out what really works for him. All the best…to him and you.

I wanted to announce what worked for me finally.

  1. Going to sleep too soon after meditation is a sure fire way to get a wet dream. Give atleast 4 hours.
  2. Place an ice cube at the base of the spine for 1 or 2 minutes before going to sleep.

nocturnal emission might have many causes.
Basicity it might be caused by too much energy in the low chakras and “holes” in the aura.
it can be solved by imagining a golden sphere of light surrounding you before you sleep. this might protect you from “astral” influences.
another reason can be suppress sexuality… erotic physical exercise as well as yoga shoulder stand and hand stand before you sleep can help a lot too.
