Alright. Taking the scriptures as read, we intellectually, conceptually know that there are three main conduits or nadis, the Ida (cool channel), the Pingala (hot channel) and the Sushumna (central channel). The basic information is on all yoga sites, including Wiki ~ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nadi\_(yoga)
All these three nadis are said to be in the spine and the Sushumna itself being triple layered, containing the Brahma, Chitrini and Vajrini nadis.
Aspirants are urged to coax the kundalini to rise through the Sushumna for smooth awakening.
In actuality of experience however, if we feel no need to be be applauded, if we are honest, we may admit that the energy grid is not quite as the scriptures affirm. I have noticed on other sites too, that there is this egoic need in those who share to align their experiences with scriptures, even if the truth is different.
First of all, as someone who has never engaged in any practice, in fact who did not even know what kundalini is, when I first experienced it vividly sometime in 2018-19 or so, let me say it like it is ~
Imagine a straight vertical funnel connecting the root chakra to the crown chakra (fontanel). Geometrically vertical, right in the centre of our body. Well, my first three or four experiences had to do with this and nothing at all with the spine. The spine came into play later, as also the front of body, the circuitous channels through the chakras. The main energy grid loops form over front and back, splitting our body into two vertical halves energetically.
Leaving names and labels aside, the rise from root to crown in a single swoosh, without obstruction, kind of like a super expressway, is this central vertical funnel.
There’s more to share on this. I look forward to comments and feedback. Dissent is welcome too ![]()
