The Middle Years

Dear all,
It’s been a while since I have had any new experiences worth sharing. Two meditation sittings ago, during Cosmic Samyama, the moon (perceived as a half moon on a very dark night) suddenly started drifting south (from its usual horizontal position). Last night, I could see that it has settled into my sex, like a reflection in a clear pool of water. I can see the water rippling. It bars the gateway of the root chakra. The sun has also moved and is now sitting in the crown.
Last night, I awoke around midnight filled with rapturous joy, outpouring divine love and laughing in every cell; the laughter rebounding across the cosmos. Kept me away all night. Still feeling joyous this morning.
I am now curious as to what this sudden movement of cosmic bodies is foretelling.
Love and joy!

Happy to hear things are “moving” in a good direction for you.

Hello everyone,
More of my little stories.
Lately, Awareness moves completely into one thing and I am that thing and when I need to switch back into the perspective of my physical body, I feel disoriented for a second, looking for my body. Sometimes, Awareness is all of my field of perception and going back to the perspective of ego-self also causes ?me? to look for my body.
I don?t often hear people report inner sounds. Inner sounds have always been very active for me. Loud bangs and explosions (like last night), conversations that have nothing to do with me etc. I am never confident when hearing something in the night that it is happening ?external? to ?me?.
Sey

Sey, Thanks for sharing your current state. I can relate to the inner sounds part, at least with respect to inner silence, which I hear as a tone in my head. I have not experienced loud bangs/explosions or conversations. I’d be curious if others have had this type of experience. Your awareness experiences sound like you have a deep focus that creates some friction on transition between states. I hope you find a way to smooth out these transitions.

Inspired by Dogboy, I thought I would add what ecstatic conductivity looks like for me these days (not everyday) - it is joyous laughter in every cell, along every nerve reverberating through the cosmic spheres. It is skipping on ocean waters, dancing with the stars, where I am both the music and the dancer.

Sounds like your life is a poem :sunglasses:

I am feeling particularly inspired and in love the Sufi way
Day dawns in bridal robes.
The ocean veiled in white.
I, shy bride, peek out the window,
waiting to welcome my groom’s light.

It is very clear to me these days that:
I am here and here is me. ?I? and ?here? are synonymous.
Sey

Days run endlessly into weeks and I often have no clue as to where I am in time. It is a little frightening.
Sey

Sey, I can relate to this mindset on vacation but find weekly activities are grounded in routine. Do you have a completely unstructured life?

Hi Interpaul,
My life is actually too structured, very mundane.
Sey

I thought I would report a little on Bhakti these days. Bhakti seems to have flatlined. I struggle to keep to a once a day sitting, never mind twice. However, if something triggers Bhakti, e.g. a song or a reading, the surge of Bhakti would literally incapacitate me. My legs would give way (literally) while my throat and mouth would open wide in a silent scream. Something in me is screaming, screaming. Tears running down my face. Yet the whole thing feels highly ecstatic. I become un-done.

Yesterday, I went into Victoria (Seychelles capital), something I do once a year. it is a small town but completely congested these days, people, traffic. Again, I could not cope. I felt dizzy, dizzy because the images could not settle on a refresh rate. I’m trying to find words here
Let me try again - I have noticed two ways of seeing, a normal seeing /hearing with the sense organs creating a 3D environment. This can collapse abruptly, or quietly slip, into this ‘non-seeing’ or direct seeing. When in a busy environment, my brain /Awareness cannot seem to decide which way to perceive, it flips between the two states. I am probably not making much sense. Never mind.

The last thing I would like to report on (I have mentioned it in other threads) is that all my personal traits are back. I did not have to make any effort to behave righteously in the beginning years, inner silence took care of every sin, every unhealthy thing. Now, I would find myself e.g. adding to gossip before noticing, having a mean thought, lazy, binge watching TV etc..

The thoughts do not have roots though (mostly) but they still appear.

I would like to share some experiences of location of “point of view” (center of seeing, not opinion)
This speaks to forms of samadhi but I will not be referring to these fancy terms.
As beginners we start of with our “point of view” located somewhere in our body, often third-eye or heart. Then as our inside becomes our outside and outside inside, this center eventually dissolves.

Then there is also the matter of being awake and aware. We start off with only feeling awake and aware when our sense organs are active and we are conscious of the world and we are storing memories (Awareness with content and recall).
Over years of practice, we gain the understanding/experience that Awareness can also be without content with memory active - you remember being aware of Awareness, the Nothingness. Then there is Awareness without content and without memory. Zilch. You just wake up with the vague sense of a gap. This can happen when you are wide awake. It often happens to me when I have a sudden glimpse of a still body of water, even a puddle. I drop into Nothingness and no memory.

There is Awareness in the waking state, the dream state and deep sleep state. There is awareness of Awareness with nothing else going on. Then there is also waking up elsewhere. You fall asleep, lose consciousness and “wake up” elsewhere. This elsewhere can be local - a granite rock, often the ocean, somewhere on the island. It can be truly elsewhere - recognizably not Earth - so somewhere on the astral planes, I assume.
Why this conversation? Well, I have moved into a new office with floor to ceiling windows and there is a steep, “in your face” mountain range just outside with a gravitational pull on me that is jarring. It keeps sucking me in (or am I the one drawing it in?) to become it. I find myself struggling to stay out of its vortex. It makes me dizzy.

The monster mountain got me mid-writing.

But there is mostly ordinary everyday life with regular 3D seeing, loosely centered in the body, (although if I look closely there is no center) but simultaneously aware of the background stillness, the eternalness of Being, un-touched, un-stained.

Lovers

What do you know of Lovers and their Beloved
And the veil that conceals and reveals their flirtation?

Do you know of the hunger that consumes
And the fire that ravishes?

Hush! Less you awaken from your slumber
And find yourself running naked through the streets
trying to catch sight of the Beloved

Then you will weep and weep
And beg me to tell you
Something about the curve of His cheek.
