This reminds me very much of Ramana Maharshi’s story. Specifically, the period of time when he was younger and drawn so deeply in samadhi in the vaults of the Arunachalesvara Temple that he couldn’t even take care of his own body and had to be cared for. While I long for that level of union and grace, I also enjoy being able to function in the real world…I think
