Spiritual Work/Meditation Checklist?

Who’s got the simplified steps to moving energy into the ajna and crown.

Obviously, you need khechari to bridge vishudda to ajna and reroute electricity with the lounge to the little spot under the pituitary.

My tongue isn’t anywhere near long, he barely reaches soft palate.

What else needs to be done?

Something like strengthening Mulabhanda, maybe sodarshankriya, nauli, uddiyana?

I need some pointers and maybe a “workout” schedule so I can start fast tracking trying to get the Energy flowing.

I would love to start flooding my body with light from my lamp.

Please send help!

If I am in stage 4 khechari, does it cut breathing off?

How am I supposed to consistently transmit electricity to the pituitary with my tongue if it blocks breathing, or am I supposed to khechari in little segments?

Hi Zachary,

Yes, you can add mulabhanda, nauli, and uddiyana to your yoga practice if you wish to. If you read the AYP Main Lessons through from the start, they do describe these practices, and how to gradually integrate them with a full-scope yoga practice in a safe way.

There is a practice chart that can be downloaded for free from here that shows how all these practices can be integrated.

As for kechari mudra, stage four kechari does not actually involve blocking the airflow through the nasal cavity completely. So, it is still possible to breathe through the mouth and nose.

So just follow the website instructions?

Will it hurt to maybe practice for a couple hours a day?

Feel like I need to hurry, im 36 and ain’t gettin no younger and life dont stop.

Growing up around christianity, never in a million years would I have thought I’d wind up here as a result of following Jesus.

Hi Zachary,

I would suggest following the instructions on the website, yes. If you do that, you will be starting out with a twice-daily meditation practice followed by a short rest period. Within a few months, you could find that you have added Spinal Breathing in front of each meditation session, and a short asana practice in front of that.

That could make:

20 mins asana
10 mins Spinal Breathing
20 mins meditation
10 mins rest

So, that would make a one-hour practice, twice each day. So, two hours each day. But, you would be building up to that gradually over time.

If you go on to add Samyama, advanced pranayamas and self-inquiry to that, then your practice could extend to three hours a day, or more. That is a lot to keep up over the long term, although some people do manage it.

As for Jesus, I filmed a short podcast for YouTube a few years ago looking at the question “Was Jesus a yogi?” That is here.

Thats great news about khechari not cutting your breathing off! From a cross section cut it looks like it would but, im glad to hear it doesn’t as now im not afraid to try it out.

Have been a little disheartened thinking I had to hold my breath while in khechari and Maha bhanda.
