Solar Centering and Energetic Radiating

Hello Fellow AYPers,
I hope your week is treating you well! I have a quick question on Solar Centering. In lesson 375, Out of Our Heads, Yogani states “Other sensations we may experience when adding solar centering are a sense of being more in the world, while less of the world, and with more energy radiating from us into the world.”
Question is, do we radiate energy from the solar center in the early stages of practice too? Or is this experienced over some time? At least to the point that it is felt by others. Let’s say early stages are a few weeks to a month into using Solar Centering.
Also, what is meant by “more in the world, while less of the world”? I’ve heard this phrase in the past but I’m curious of the AYP perspective on this. Thank you in advance!

Hi Reno,
I am also curious about the concept of radiance.
A while back when I first experienced it emanating from another person, I searched the AYP forums and found this thread:

If you haven’t seen it yet, maybe you find it interesting.
Yogani just used the phrase “more in the world, while less of the world” in a recent post in the forum:

My understanding of this is that pure bliss consciousness is “not of the world” because it would be that even in the absence of anything manifest, but all other faculties we associate with consciousness, including the sense of “I am”, rely on the manifest world being utilized by and within pure bliss consciousness. With rising unity it is more and “more in the world” by getting better at utilizing it, but identifies less and less with it (“not of the world”).
Edit: I just wanted to add that the above is my understanding of some yogic philosophy I read, whereas Yogani’s explanation I linked to above is experience based.

Hi Reno,
Usually ecstatic radiance is something that increases gradually over time, as the purification process takes place and as the body in general becomes increasingly ecstatic. However, this does not mean that someone could not experience the radiance of ecstacy beyond the body soon after adding the solar centering enhancement. It would depend on what they had been doing before they took on the enhancement and at how sensitive they are to practices.
Generally ecstatic radiance is from the whole subtle body, or if it is localised to a certain degree, then it will tend to be mostly from the heart chakra or crown chakra. Solar centering is most likely to increase whole-body ecstatic radiance, or radiance from the heart. Radiance from the heart is experienced by others as divine love and radiance from the crown is experienced by others as bliss. Radiance from the whole of the subtle body is experienced by others in various ways depending on their own inner matrix of obstructions.
Being “in the world but not of the world” means being more present with what is actually real, whilst not being distracted by things that are simply creations of the mind, or by the ways in which the mind colours and alters our perception of things.

In my practice the solar center acts as a touchpoint and home to my mantra and sutras in samyama. It helps anchor my body in the deepest depths of samadhi. In asana class it is my center of gravity, encouraging loving attention to the diaphragm, as well as the third and fourth chakras, and assists in balance poses. By the end of class the body is primed for radiance. As Yogani says, this is the state that has influence in your daily life and in company of loved your ones.

Lately, I have re-introduced navi kriya back into my practice after a long break (years) and I am quite astonished at the extent of radiance it produces and the depths of stillness it adds to the practice, even with a single round.
Oh - you can barely tell the impact of your radiance on others. It’s just a subtle feeling, an anecdote here and there; people who beam at you for no reason at all. People who remember your smile years down the line.
Sey

Hello All!

I wanted to circle back on this topic, as I’ve read through all of your responses and gained plenty of insight. Although, the true concept of ecstatic radiance is still a growing understanding for me, I have taken some time to observe in daily activity.

Following practices and consistent solar centering, I find that people just seem to notice me more. For example, at the grocery store simply going about my shopping, people pick up on my presence quickly. This is in the manner of eye contact or social acknowledgement. I just find no matter the direction I look or turn people are staring. I try to make it a point to constantly check my ego and pride or any efforts of it to reemerge. But I must stress the staring and pull of attention. This is stating the fact and my observations overtime, and since this last post. This is especially noticeable with babies and children and even animals. They will immediately notice me, stare and smile.

The most notable piece I’d like to call out is the varying reactions and responses I’ll receive. It’s almost like it is dependent on the person themselves. But some people will notice me and immediately smile or waive or even extend for a handshake—very positive in nature. On the other hand, some people will react with in the opposite manner and frown, completely dismiss me or look away very quickly. The responses vary throughout the day but my practices do not. I find it all so fascinating!

I must preface that the radiance and attention/presence is drastically increased when retaining sexual essences and straying away from orgasm/ejaculation for longer periods. This made a DRASTIC difference and experiences just as much as the practices themselves it felt.
