Silence Speaks

correct me if I am wrong, but aren´t entity attacks not just a form of overload???

When not, maybe I have experienced one over the last ten years in form of depression. I sometimes had the feeling that its like something is hammering into me suicidal thoughts- I always have make adjustements in practises, and have taken medicaments, which has helped a lot. And never have give an entity attack a big role.

What can be done, if it is really an entity atack?

Hi th1996,

An entity attack is different from energetic overload. Energetic overload is when too much purification is happening too fast. An entity attack is when an invisible lower being tries to be bothersome, or even harmful.

If this does happen, usually simply ignoring them is enough and they will go away. They thrive on attention, so if we pay them attention they will often hang around. So, the important thing is to ignore them.

There are severe cases where they can enter someone’s body and try to possess them. If this happens, it is usually because the person has done something in the past that weakens their subtle nervous system, allowing them to enter and try to take hold.

There are a number of things that people can do that weakens their subtle nervous system making them more prone to attack. These include drinking alcohol excessively, taking drugs including psychedelics, sleeping around, sleeping with prostitutes, lying, stealing, cheating on a partner, abusing someone, greed, and having sex with lower entities in return for favours.

Lower entities can certainly put thoughts into people’s heads. These are often referred to as “intrusive thoughts”. They can be thoughts encouraging anger, or blame, or guilt,
or doubt, or instructions to harm others, or harm oneself. They can also be depressing thoughts. Lower entities feed off negative emotions which is why they input these thoughts into people’s minds.

Often it is obvious that a thought is an intrusive thought. It will arise for no obvious reason, or feel out of place, or even feel as if it is coming from “outside” the body.

Spiritual practices, over time, will make people increasingly resilient to these entities. We become spiritually stronger and less effected by them. Eventually we can ignore them whenever they are around, or even command them to leave. We can even help them to move on when we reach the higher stages of the path.

Hi th1996

You’ve had great advice already from Tristan.

During 23-24 I had a lot of experiences with entities.
Basically I look at them as being repressed emotional material that manifest in some sort of extreme way because it seeks to get the attention it needs to thrive, potentially because it feels threatened.
Either I became too fascinated by them so they kept occurring, or they were just part of my karma and just something I had to go through. There may be other reasons.
I would either feel them, hear them or see them or all at the same time, from waking consciousness . Once, I woke up to this horrific evil feeling energy and a hand appeared on my arm, digging its nails into my skin, which hurt in a strange way. However I knew what was going on so I was able to withdraw attention from it to make it loose its power, but before I did I thought to toy with it before I withdrew attention, so I grabbed its bony long fingers and squeezed them. It didn’t like that and disappeared quickly, I could feel it panic.

But really, these stories are nothing to cherish and I have found that just moving awareness into inner silence every time has helped to lessen the regularity of experiences . I now hardly have any such experiences, but during that year it was a few per week (mixed in with more positive experiences).

I think that entity ‘attacks’ are perhaps different from experiencing depression, in that most people would regard entity attacks as a kind of ‘supernatural’ experience like the one I described. But in reality we would deal with depression the same if we have abiding inner silence, just notice and release into silence.

So as Tristan says, just ignoring them sorts the problem out.

Hope that helps

Cheers,

Tom

Thanks for the replies- they was very helpful. Than, I think I can be relatively sure it was no attack.
