hi,
25, m. I have been cultivating and raising the kundalini through spinal breathing and qigong, solo tantra for about last 7-8 months. so far, I think I have successfully opened up all the main 7 chakras - as most of the time I have been feeling overwhelming energy going up and then even down some times from one chakra to another.
one thing I have been having difficulty with is how to actually maintain all this energy at an ideal day? should my body be vibrating all the time, like even the crown of my head?
I have noticed to feel fresh after I practice solo tantric masturbation - as it gives a precise laser like physical boost for me after doing it without ejaculating (feeling extremely balanced and direct in my actions), but after a while my body starts to vibrate very aggressively again (not discomforting all the time but sometimes it can be annoying, the crown of head feels filled with energy - not discomforting everytime but sometimes yes, my heart also feels like its been beating faster but this time, energetically)
practicing yoga/calisthenics like planks and pushups seem to reduce the vibrations and transfer to the laser like state after solo tantra practices. I walk a lot too, I have been reading obsessively about all this stuff and I find all about this and true human potential extremely intriguing.
I have also tasted soma/nectar/bliss through all these inner alchemy - which seem to be amplified even more during sexual stimulation.
My question is, at an ideal state - how should I manage this energy (as in which part of the body should be more in the focus)? I am a grad student, I already study a lot and I workout physically.
please drop some suggestions
thanks
It sounds like you are doing too much. If you are experiencing discomfort I suggest you scale back your practice for a bit until things cool down.
AYP is a very effective system as it includes all elements of yoga, but these should be introduced slowly.
Overload can get worse than you describe, I find if I have too much energy at the crown and I keep pushing on I end up spending a day or so in bed feeling dizzy, nauseous and having a headache. Too much energy in lower centers means loosing sleep to an uncomfortable (but weirdly sexual! ) strong electrical current in my lower centers. These symptoms usually mean stepping my practice down for a while, which means progress overall will be slower. So don’t be in a rush to incorporate all the extra AYP practices, in reality you may not need them all. Look out for signs that you are doing too much in dreams/visions.
I personally find that tantra (prolonged abstinence and solo practice etc.) is a very strong practice and I can only settle the energy it creates by having a creative outlet of some kind, sexual energy is a creative force after all! For me, this was absolutely key to energy management.
Sounds like you are getting some great results from your practice, but as you seem to have identified, finding a balance is key.
Unfortunately it’s something which is difficult to keep on top of as symptoms and practices are always changing so we have to be vigilant. Remember too that this is a marathon, not a sprint!
There is no particular condition that is “correct” for the energy of kundalini. It will be different from person to person and will also change for each individual over time. The only thing we need to do is our spiritual practices each day and then the condition of the body will be whatever it will be. There could be vibrations in different places, or throughout the body, or even beyond the body. There could be tingling sensations, or electrical sensations, or heat, or ecstasy. All of these things can come and go. There can also be strong emotions that come and go as well from time to time. So, there is no single condition to “hang on to”.
As Tom says, if you experience any discomfort then self-pace downwards for a time and increase grounding practices. If you are still experiencing discomfort, then self-pace downwards more and increase grounding practices more. And if you remain stable for some time, you can then increase practices again if you wish to. That is all that we need to do. So, discomfort is the barometer for determining if we need to change anything or not. Not anything else.
