Hi,
I’m just waiting for delivery of my DM book so this might be covered there but thought I’d seek advice. My second sitting will normally be later in the evening about 9pm which is just before bed for me. I’d really struggle to do it earlier. My morning session is going great with the mantra and I really want to add this second session but I’m really worried it will overstimulate my mind. I have a health problem that means I’m exhausted by the evening and anything stimulating is difficult. Could I do the mantra in the morning and a short breath focus in the evening? Or should I try a short mantra session in the evening and see how it goes. Any experience on this would be greatly appreciated, especially from anyone with Fibromyalgia. Thanks for the help, love the app and the practice and really excited for my book coming

Hi Paul,
The answer to your question is in lesson 18.1 and lesson 18.3. I found this using the public AI chat:
Lesson 18.3
Don’t make a habit of meditating right before bed though. It is better than not meditating at all, but it is much better to go into activity after meditation. The purification process and integration of consciousness in the nervous system is best accomplished during activity rather than in sleep. In fact, meditating right before bed might keep you awake for a while. Try it sometime and see what happens.
Lesson 18.1
If meditating before bed does not keep you awake, then fine. However, following meditation with normal activity is a more effective approach for grounding inner silence (witness) in the neurobiology. So making bedtime meditation your long term routine for your second meditation each day would be a less effective practice then doing it before the evening meal.
