Psychosis and spiritual awakening

“The relationship between psychosis and spiritual awakening”
As someone who has been experiencing some form of “awakening” for a number of years now, and has experienced instances of what some might call “psychosis”, this reading was extremely validating for me. Perhaps it can help others.
Mods, if this is the wrong subforum please let me know! I picked this forum because “psychosis” can often come part and parcel with a K awakening.

Redbushlighter, Thanks for sharing this. This difference between psychosis and spiritual awakening is an important one. His perspective is helpful. I’m reminded of a recent book by the late Neurologist Oliver Sacks titled Hallucinations. He describes examples where subjects around the country were given the assignment to present to emergency rooms declaring they hear voices, with no other symptoms. I believe half of the subjects were admitted to psych wards and put on antipsychotic medicines. We have a lot to learn about these altered states and their meanings.
