Progressing Ecstatic Conductivity and “Loss” from Ejaculation

Hello Fellow AYPers!

I’ve read in the past that continued practice as it advances, leads to less feeling of loss from an orgasm. In other words, due to the continued sexual preservation and cultivation, the orgasm isn’t as depleting as it’s was pre AYP. Not to say just orgasm for the sake of it but when I have this is something I’ve picked up on. I’ve noticed this to some degree recently, even after ejaculation I still feel some EC and pleasure throughout my body.

Is this the right mode of thinking can anyone confirm this?

Also, wouldn’t that imply that practices like meditation and pranayama with siddhasana “counteract any loss” of orgasm thus building energy back quicker?

Please let me know your thoughts.

Hello Reno

I can only speak to personal experience. This body has been conductive for about eight years (practicing AYP twelve years) and a few early years before the conductive symptoms matured in the body and apparent natural vajroli became established. One of the signs this was so was the indication there was little change in conductivity after orgasm, which continues to this day. This has not changed my practice of favoring arousal over orgasm and often foregoing release as my default in order to give myself the best chance at the promise of liberation in this lifetime.

Reno, I have been practicing AYP for over 6 years and can also confirm this to be true. I certainly noticed this phenomenon after about 4 years. The biggest challenge is this can create an attachment/focus on these ecstatic states depending on your disposition. Blocking ejaculation through mechanical or more subtle means also can escalate into chasing ever greater highs. Even the practice of staying preorgasmic, as Yogani outlines, can be problematic for people prone to chasing pleasure. I sense the goal is to gradually create a new relationship with pleasure. Ecstatic conductivity now serves more as a background state that is diffuse and comforting but the draw to greater pleasure is a potential risk in my experience.

I wish this were true for me! Tristan said somewhere that, over time, the amount of energy loss from ejaculation tends to become less (or even entirely insignificant) because the sexual energy becomes a smaller proportion of the total ecstatic energy (presumably emanating from the other, more fully opened chakras).

For me it feels like it takes 7-10 days after even a blocked ejaculation to get back up to a high level of ecstatic energy when performing e.g., shambhavi, kechari, etc. although sometimes it’s sooner. The overall “wattage” for ecstatic energy is definitely much higher than when I started, and maybe the perceived energy loss from ejaculation is a little less, but it doesn’t seem a lot less to me yet (I’ve been doing AYP over 15 years).

In addition to the lesser sense of ecstatic bliss in daily activity and strong sense of ecstasy that can be elicited by e.g., shambhavi being less for at least a few days, if not a week or more after an ejaculation, I also feel like I need more sleep to feel well-rested for at least a week, which is mildly annoying.

If I didn’t start to feel uncomfortable fullness in the area and a bit of irritability and difficulty sleeping when I get past two weeks or so, I would definitely go longer in between orgasms to enjoy more of this high-energy state, but it seems a bit difficult, especially if not avoiding all sexual stimulation, including cupping, sex with my wife, etc.

Tristan and Yogani have said once every two weeks or so should not be a significant impediment to progress, and I do think I am making slow but steady progress, but it would be nice if I eventually did reach a point where the energy loss felt much more insignificant than it does now.

Your comment of « favoring arousal over orgasm » really hits home for me.
It is a completely different approach. We have been taught that the big all is the end all and be all thru culture porn etc. So reversing that easier said than done.
