° Out of Night, Light
Sweet Light of darkness, a beautiful glow,
Who tells you to gaze at the ground far below?
Did you not know the sun rises out of your gaze,
And warmth from your nature, your own inner blaze?
How can you think you are darkness through and through?
Have you forgotten that dreams can come true?
How only the light that is kindled from naught
Is like sight seeing itself burn as it ought?
The darkness around you is harsh, yes, I know,
Alone in the wasteland, with nowhere to go.
It hurts you so much just because you live on,
And because you are Night’s one and only son.
Night gives birth sweetly, as she has before,
And rises in the sky as a Virgin once more.
And Morning does likewise, as cold as the ice,
Reminding Death she is sister to Life.
What could that deep abyss ever perceive,
Except for the light in its core?
Who is lost in a dream, too restless to leave,
Except for your fear, nothing more?
You alone, my dear Light, you alone,
Are voice and vibration in delicate tone,
And through pure emotion, divinely known,
You heal yourself of hatred and guilt you have known.
Pain is a signal both heavy and coarse,
Not that you suddenly fell back with force.
But out of nowhere, above and below,
The flower comes forward and blossoms aglow.
