Origami

It’s the folds and edges that define us
The creases that never see the daylight
Factions within the facts of truth
The bigger the circle the straighter the line
You know when you’ve bent time
Curved the space around yourself
Created comfort on the couch of thought
Made a paper castle out of sand
I’ve folded the moon over twice to see
It’s quarters play out amongst the stars
Fingers with such dexterity I’m amazed
My universe hasn’t been copied a billion times
on paper thin ether translucent Of rainbow colour
Pressed against thumb and forefinger
Of mind and soul and a little imagination
From beyond the shape of things that are

Hi Kumar,
The moon is folded in half and quarter with each half and quarter moon! It would be wonderful if you keep a journal of your poems, posting them all in one thread, the way other people in the forum keep their journals here. In this way your poems would not be scattered, and it would be easier to find them and read them.

How do I create a one topic journal if this helps I would like to do this this .

HI Kumar
This is a great idea.
This very topic could become your journal. All you need to do is come back to it every time you have a new poem and add it to this very thread as a new post instead of starting an entirely new topic.
You can also change the title of this topic. At the moment it’s “Origami”. You might want to call it “Kumar’s poems” or something like that. To change the topic’s title, look at the blue bar across the top. The first icon is a folder with a lock, yes? It’s the second icon you want. If you click on it, it will let you change your topic’s title. Where it says “Subject”, replace “Origami” with the name you want for your journal.
You will also be able to add “Origami” in the box where the poem sits, as the poem’s title. Just push the poem one line down in its box and type “Origami” just above the first verse.

light through a veil
without edge the sharpness collapses
a just so ness of form appears from beyond
a gentle caress that allows the dreamer to dream
to draw lines in the stream of mind and thought
the moving light an apparition like water on air
to define the constant flux is almost undefinable
yet the veil is all there is between clarity and the obscure
the view is narrowed almost to the point of the view
is it necessary to to lift the silk above the eyes
to see the light and upon the things it does reveal .

sight through veil
sketching with blemishes without feeling or reason
erasing the past with a future conditioned from a before
seeing and believing in something not yet contrived
but has yet to have traction or be born to this life
merely waiting behind the mundane routine of daily daily
only requiring the eye to become the servant not master
letting in rather than the constant search without
watching the rivers enter the ocean freedom abound
what is it to see the clearness above the fog that veils
an eye that opens to the setting and rising of the sun

Beautiful Kumar! so glad you have resurfaced and blessed us with verse!
