Good morning everyone. My language is Spanish, so I’m using Google Translate. I’m new to the forum. i’ve had kundalini active for two years. And now I’m experiencing strong symptoms like inflammation, tightness in the diaphragm, chest, and throat. I’ve noticed that the energy flows more through Pingala, and when I do pranayama or spinal breathing, the energy circulates through the spine, and the symptoms decrease, but after a while, they come back again. So, I’d like to ask: 1. Is there a technique to keep the energy circulating through Sushumna all the time? 2. Is there a way to unblock the chakras in the chest and throat? It seems like they’re blocked in me, which is why I’m experiencing these symptoms. 3. The mantras “yam”, “Lam”, “ram” also calm me down. Is it good to use them all the time?
I’ve suffered a lot and have made a big effort to try to resolve my symptoms, as they affect my life greatly, and I haven’t found an effective solution. I’ll be grateful for any comments. I read that there is something like a Kundalini amplifier at the base of the spine, and if you regulate that amplifier, you can reduce the intensity of the rising energy. Does anyone know anything about that? . Another thing is that my tongue has naturally curled up and back like the Kechari Mudra and it stays that way all the time. It seems to intensify the energy, which is why I try to keep my tongue straight, but when I’m not paying attention, it curls back up again. What should I do?
Sorry to hear about the difficulties you have been experiencing. In order that we can give helpful advice, would you be able to describe the spiritual practices you have been using?
Thanks for your response. I’ve been doing pranayama (alternate nostril breathing), spinal meditation, chest stretches, and using root mantras for each Chakra. They would calm the symptoms for a moment, but then the energy would increase. So, due to that issue, I now only use root mantras and try to visualize and guide the energy through the sushumna with my consciousness all day. I’m also continuing with stretches and exercises.
Thanks for clarifying the situation. There are some cases where people have found that by adding some light Spinal Breathing Pranayama to their practice, this has helped to balance energy in the body and alleviate some of the symptoms of energetic overload. However, it does not always work. If you have tried Spinal Breathing and found it does not help, then it is best to drop it.
In general, doing more spiritual practices will not help to manage a situation of energetic overload. Spiritual practices increase the amount of prana in the body, and will generally make the situation worse over the long term.
The advice given in the AYP lessons is to reduce practices, and increase grounding practices. Keep reducing spiritual practices until you find a balanced and stable level where you are not experiencing discomfort. Treating spiritual practices as a potential cure for kundalini symptoms is a very risky business.
You can read more about this in Lesson 69 which is here in English and here in Spanish.
I also filmed a video about managing painful kundalini symptoms which can be found on youTube here. To turn on Spanish subtitles you need to click “cc” below the video, then select “settings” (the cog wheel) > Auto-translate, and then select the language.
