Great Experience

Hello everyone, I thought I would share a positive experience I had recently as per Yogani’s suggestion to encourage newcomers.

I had a nap one afternoon ending with an ordinary dream, but immediately upon awakening I became aware of myself and felt an extremely pleasurable ‘ball’ was in the centre of my head.

As I focused on the ‘ball’, it seemed to grow and I fell deeper into its bliss - far deeper than I have gone in formal meditation!
There were still some fuzzy thought forms bubbling in tbe background, but my consciousness was predominantly fixed on this ‘ball’ as I lied in bed for a while.

What’s amazing about this experience is that shortly after I got out of bed and went about my routine chores - all while my consciousness was still turned in on itself!
I was amazed to find myself seated comfortably inside the blissball while also functioning perfectly well in my body and sweeping the floor.

The only way from here is up (or in)!

Thanks for sharing! The process of purification at times is amazing, and I have unlocked bliss in some unusual places: in the dentist chair, napping, getting a haircut, stuck in traffic, to name a few. As with any scenery, we don’t covet or chase, we experience, enjoy, and release. Whenever we have these experiences, we know we are on the right track with our yoga practices.

Ah, yes.

I remember having a prolonged bout of ecstasy in a hospital waiting room (of all places). Interestingly that was also concentrated in the centre of my head, but was definitely ecstatic/sexual in nature rather than blissful

Yes, it is nice having these experiences as they seem to suggest “progress”. There is always the risk though of trying to chase these experiences and get caught up in the “scenery”.
