Good Vibrations

On the brink of now
I swing back and forth
I oscillate
I vibrate
between the Ultimate and the Historical Dimensions.
The touching into the Ultimate leaves a trace of something sensed.
The touching into the Historical also leaves a trace, a picture in time
Two faces looking at each other through a common vibration.
Like two dot matrix pictures being printed,
each out of a different dimension.
Touching one only, we disappear
Touching the other only, we live in the head.
Vibrating between both we come alive
The finer the vibration the more intimate
Until I am in you and you are in me
As I listen to your voice
Feeling and sensing the words in my body
Vibrating across the brink of now
I also understand what you say
As I watch the bird wing it’s way across the sky
Each millisecond flap of wing resonating within
And yet, I am aware of the trace of bird across the sky
Time and timeless in a marriage of convenience
As I am drenched in silence
Even as I am thinking
The drenching of silence is there
Witnessing the thoughts
And thoughts witnessing the drenching
The paradox of vibration in meditation.
My 2 cents

It is what it is. Beauty.

Wow!!! Louis is on fire  … i am not kidding this stuff is very gooddd.
but i was wondering how it would turn out from your own mouth, for as far as i know poetry makes the deepest impact when the words are accompanied by a symphony; a tone from the mouth.
bcz the melody of the words echoes the deep longing and anguish and silences the thoughts in the minds of the audience and captures there attention and pours it into the poem.
but you are already doing that with or without
namaste brother and thk you for sharing this glass of wine.
Ananda

This is really wowing. Thanks

I concur … excellent & moving, Sparkle …!
Good poem, too!
BTW, Ananda – I checked out Kamal Jumblat <- spelled a few different ways on the Web (as an FYI to anyone who may want to look) … the Lebanese poet-teacher-activist you referenced in Shanti’s NOW poem thread.
I couldn’t find any of his poetry in English (I don’t read Arabic - the language, or the script) … but I found a few of his quotes in English, in a PDF … if I can cut-n-paste from it … I think I can … I’ll post a few … he’s amazingly profound, and has a beautiful way with words …
AUM = Poetry in Motion!

Thank you everyone for the acknowledgements.
They are actually a surprise, as I thought I was going out on a limb, as I haven’t heard it expressed like that myself.
so deep felt appreciation
It is my limited perspective for now, born out of direct but also limited experience.
From the dot matrix image of me, a big hug
From the other me, which is also you, what can I say - you’re beautiful

Wonderful.Thanks Sparkle

Louis…wow
Thank you!
Wonderful to come home and find both you and Shanti’s beautiful poetry.
Your 2 cents… …they are priceless…i hope you will venture out on that limb real often
