Pretty much what the title says. Does sage smudging work? Mostly for clearing negative energy from the house and from the body?
I know this is from Native American Spirituality. I don’t want to mix up different spiritual systems too much, but it seems interesting.
Yes, it is useful for clearing residual negative energy and entities. Tried and tested. 
I like burning sage. I’m not as in-tune with energy as you guys are, but it does seem to be uplifting. And it smells good. It only takes a little bit, so be conservative!
I make smudges from the common sage growing in my garden, and I also make smudges from some of the other herbs growing there. My favorite combination is rosemary, lavender, mint, chamomile, and sage.
Also… one of my favorites… Instead of using soap in the bath, I use a handful of sage leaves as a washcloth.
