Has any experienced a powerful increase in prana as a result of taking caffeine?
I can barely drink a cup of coffee without it throwing me into an overload. The pressure in my head/forehead gets real intense.
Anyways, just wanted to throw it out there.

It may not not be overload from practice, caffeine increases blood pressure, and the pressure in your head may be from that.

For me caffeine is like poison. I get extremly nervous, and when i mix caffeine with less sleep,
i get panic attacks as if my last hour has come. Same with cigarettes. Maybe im a bit sensible.
In my experience, drugs will affect how one experiences prana/K.
But drugs affect us all differently, so because of the subjectivity inherent in our biochemical condition, one cannot say: so-and-so drug does A, or so-and-so drug does B.
For me, caffeine is completely fine if taken in moderation. In any event, i don’t really feel much of a difference in the quality of prana with caffeine. Tobacco and Cannabis, however, tend to affect the quality/quantity of prana for me in a profound way.
Advice: just go with what works for you and don’t worry about what other people say. trust your own experience.
Hi wakeup,
caffeine messes the mind and body up, although not as much as alcohol or drugs do. In the long run, none of those substances go well together with meditation. However, given you feel like quitting, it’s wise to quit at your own natural pace, to ensure each change in habits is here to stay.
Guna-wise, caffeine makes the mind excessively rajasic and the body jerky; makes meditation and yoga unecessarily difficult. I haven’t drunk coffee or black tea for decades, and I don’t miss it
