Alcohol//tobacco/drugs

What are the effects of alcohol/tobacco/drugs on my yoga practice?
The use of psychotropic substances is not recommended to yoga practitioners.
While alcohol/tobacco/drugs consumption is not “forbidden”, in the sense that it does not disqualify you from starting yoga practices, these substances interfere with the functionality of our nervous system and throw more “mud on the window” we are trying to clean. Practicing advanced yoga can offer significant help to people who are trying to free themselves from addiction.
