Welcome Arunchala Bhakta! I’m going to check those videos now.
Hello Christi. Good to hear from you I am already at the 3 repetitions of the Sutras in Samyama.
And yes, I am already doing Self Enquiry, that is, picking last sutra “I Thought, Who am I?” and going for additional 10 minutes. Maybe it is time to start doing Cosmic Samyama. I will check the AYP facebook page as well. Thank you for your recommendations.
Hi Dogboy. I would be interested in seeing your practice routine because you are not sensitive… If you feel like sharing.
Thank you everyone for input.
Hi Nirguna,
Some of the AYP practices can be used during the day, outside of regular practice times. The most obvious ones being siddhasana, kechari and Self-inquiry.
Other practices that can be used include fasting, spending time in nature and service to others (seva). Service to others is a very useful practice, as it helps to open the heart.
Samyama is another practice which can be extended at times throughout the day, as everything that arises can be released in silence. We can also pick up things deliberately to release into silence, such as the name of someone who needs help. As Samyama progresses, this is something that will begin to happen more and more on its own, regardless of whether we are doing it deliberately or not.
So gradually, practice becomes something that is happening continuously throughout the day, even though we are continuing with structured twice-daily sittings.

I have always thought it unfortunate that here at AYP, experiences are immediately “shrugged off” as scenery (at times patronizingly by advanced practitioners) as it does not encourage sharing. And beginners thrive on sharing of experiences. Else AYP would have been spreading like wildfire in my opinion. But I do understand why we are not encourage to place importance on experiences -
they are indeed scenery.

Soon after ecstatic conductivity took root, my practice was much like yours, everything in the AYP toolbox used daily. EC made me realize I should scale back less I find myself in the proverbial ditch. My current core practice is SBP 5 min, chin pump left and right directions, 20 DM, samyama (each sutra twice), and rest for 5-10 minutes. Bastrika, Yoni mudra, and the full chin pump jalahara on now on my “appetizer menu”, to have when I feel particularly “spiritually hungry”. Energy is easily accessed via asanas, sexual arousal, intention/attention, as well as those “appetizers”, which is why I scaled back on those. Four years into my AYP practice I feel I have a good balance of energy and silence; a lot of credit due to a commitment to grounding throughout the day: enjoying the outdoors, interacting with fellow humans, employing Yamas and Niyamas, and it times of high energy gentle attention on the third eye and my solar center.
As you are seeking more tools, consider using a perineum ball. This allows for siddhasana throughout daily sitting moments, while driving, watching TV, or sitting at a desk. I keep a hacky sack (a small bean bag used in a game where you keep it aloft using only your legs and feet) in my car for such a purpose.
