Opening the Heart

It is said that the heart opens last in most traditions.
I never understood this fully until yesterday.
The “heart” is seen to be just another organ/chakra, that
undifferentiated consciousness, in the guise of pure bliss
opens, as it climbs or descends the spine.
Well, that is 1/2 true.
The heart has a back door, so to speak, having nothing
whatsover to do with the spine or nerve plexuses.
When that back door opens wide, the universe explodes with
love and common sense. Everything becomes easier.
In it’s proper time, the heart will fully open for all of us;
there is no pretense at forcing this to happen prematurely.
The difference is night and day; it can easly transform a cranky
mind-type, into a completely different person in an instant.
This is the power of falling into grace, as a result of long
and steady practice; long and steady bhakti. No amount of
struggling; no amount of foolish striving; no amount of mouthiness
can open this back door; it can only delay the opening.
Purely astonishing.
Namaste,
