There are no words to describe how beautiful this retreat was⦠still enjoying the beauty and love and stillness. Kamiās hospitality and leadership made this an amazing experience for all of us.
It was wonderful seeing all the old AYPers and the new ones, by the end of it, it felt like we all knew each other forever.
Kami has covered the rest of the retreat really well, and I will agree with all she said and add none of this would be possible without her hard work and love and leadership. Thank you Kami!
Hi All:
Thanks so much for your sharing on the retreat. Lovely energy and divine flow in stillness. It is pure joy.
The guru is in you.
Hey everyone
I was only able to stay through the first part of the retreat but the experience was absolutely amazing. It was wonderful to see so many of my AYP family (Shanti, K-man, Rohini, Bewell, Chas, Jeff), and great to meet the latest additions to my family (Bodhi, Aum, Whipporwill). So much love, Silence, and deep, heart-felt sharing in the short time I was there. I came back literally transformed.
The most amazing part for me was getting to see Kami host the group and lead the retreat. She did so muchā¦organizing the event, cooking the most delicious meals, graciously welcoming us into her house, the singing and in the midst of the multiple things she was juggling, making the entire thing appear effortless and graceful For me, it was an experience of watching Stillness in Action. Kami, there are no words that could possible suffice and no way to repay the gift you have given me, except to offer a deep and humble THANK YOU for your Presence and for making this come together. You are such a natural leader and it was clear from seeing all the people at the retreat how many lives you have touched.
Canāt wait 'til the next one
Love to All
LMAO!! Thatās alright, Kirtanman. You and I share the affinity for being crushed by women. Itās a joyous pain we engage in for the benefit of all sentient beings. Being crushed by female divas is a super-advanced practice, and I do not recommend it to anyone unless you are willing to subject yourself to spontaneous bouts of uncontrollable, gut-busting laughterāas well as incomprehensible demoralization. But in all seriousness, the female trio sung with voices that carried my soul to new heights. Transcendent, indeed.
Kirtanman, youāre a true spiritual warrior and ecstatic musician. Thank you for letting me harmonize and rejoice in our liberation and voluntary martyrdom. This is only the beginningā¦
Also, the Insight Dialogue led by bewell was one of the most unexpected surprises. What penetrating self-inquiry! When I was silently absorbing the monologues of Rohini and Whipporwhill, my heart began to beam and the room began to glow with a golden aura. Delicious radiance! Thanks, bewell, for setting the stage for that magical exchange.
Thank you all for your kind words and big hearts.
Kāman: Better start preparing now for antakshari, that game you guys will get crushed in⦠Again.
Much love to all of you.
Much heart-felt gratitude to all who attended the retreat last weekend. It was a transformative and joyous time.
Special thanks to Rohini, who, while leading us in asanas at the retreat last year, had us open a place in our hearts. Mine is now full of joy!
And to Kami, for taking a chance and teaching me DM.
Namaste
Funny long distance apart but I feel this retreat has touched me as well through all of you.
On the night of 23rd May <my timingā¦must be 24th morning for you!>ā¦I saw 6 or 7 white lights hovering around up in my crown chakraā¦felt Love to/from them all.Shanti was one of them!
ā¦sorry to break in uninvited!I was pulled
Glad for the joy thatās shared through this post.
Thank you cygnet, for your warm presence and participation at the retreat. Welcome to the forums!
Namath, thanks for participating as well.
Thank you Kami for organizing and leading, & for your hospitality and care.
Thank you Shanti for all that flows through you.
Kirtanman, thank you for your light-hearted Kirtanman-ness, wisdom & comedy.
Bewell, much enjoyed the dialogue and presence in stillness. Thank you.
Rohini, your unbounded joy and playfulness is contagious. Thank you.
Aumnaturel, it was great getting to know you. Thank you for the great conversation.
Bodhi Tree, the musical & poetic genius emanating from your loving heart is amazing⦠the cross-pollination of methods and perspectives in the harmonious essence of being is much appreciated.
Parallax, youāre so loving⦠& hilarious. Thank you.
Liz, it was great meeting you. Thank you for your bright smile and serenity.
Namath, thank you for being present in spirit.
Yogani, thank you for your part in making all of this possible. Iām forever grateful for AYP and all that you do in stillness.
Much gratitude to all who attended the retreat. Iām deeply touched by all of our interactions.
Love & Namaste
Chas! I felt such an instant connection upon meeting you. Youāre a true warrior and cosmic traveller. Your light shines brightly.
Iāll catch you when weāre buzzing by in that interstellar garden of cross-pollination.
Kami! You rock girl! Muaaaaaah! Love you!
Thank you all for your amazing presence and grace. I am falling short of words to express my feelings and hence I am copy pasting this beautiful quote that says it all -
āWords can never fully say what we want them to say, for they fumble, stammer, and break the best porcelain. The best one can hope for is to find along the way someone to share the path, content to walk in silence, for the heart communes best when it does not try to speak.ā

I am thankful to have met all of you in my path. As for the asanas, it was just a natural flow as we are born in a yogic posture and all that we have to cultivate is a vedic mind with this yogic body. Thank you cygnet![OM]
Guys, let the Antakshari challenge begin! Gear yourself with more songs!
A cardiac specialist died and at his funeral the coffin was placed in front of a huge mock up of a heart made up of flowers. When the pastor finished with the sermon and eulogy, and after everyone said their good-byes, the heart opened, the coffin rolled inside and the heart closed. Just then one of the mourners burst into laughter. The guy next to him asked: āWhy are you laughing?ā āI was thinking about my own funeralā the man replied. āWhatās so funny about that?ā āIām a gynecologist.ā
Love Live Light Laugh
I dunno Kami, engaging in such open-hearted cross-cultural competition sounds delightful, especially optimistically considering an unexpectedly different outcome next time ⦠but have you considered the ārisksā of all the post-competition Hindi-English / Indian-American ⦠harmonic convergence?
I, known for a bit of tongue-in-cheek vivid imagination ⦠imagine ā¦something a bit like this.
And much love to you, too ⦠itās always so awesome to see you in person ⦠even if you do pronounce kechari funny.
[OM]
Kāman, youāre a die-hard, extremely lovable and seriously adorable optimist. Dream on!
Ooh I loved this KD bhajan! Seriously, can we sing this next time? Thank you for sharing.
PS: Khechari is pronounced ākay-cha-riā, not āki-chaariā, thank you. As soon as you master this one, weāll move on to āyogash chitta vritti nirodhahā⦠Let me know.
Rohini, my dear -

This is my very first post. It was also my very first retreat. Much gratitude for everyone present at the retreat. To be surrounded by so many beautiful lights meditating together was a powerful and inspiring experience. Thank you for arranging such retreats and opening them to newcomers. Namaste
Welcome to the AYP forums Karmakathy!
Thank you for your presence at the retreat and for sharing this at the forums with us!
Welcome Karmakathy to the forums, and thank you for your part in making the experience as wonderful as it was - with its uplifting effect that continues onwards from the shared inner silence. Namaste.
Thank you Kami for making these available. Such glimpses seem to bring a level of connectivity across space and time to all the practitioners who took part through the shared spirit of the retreat atmosphere. At least I had that impression looking through them, and then again with those Pheel shared recently.
Hi Kami,
Sure, we can do that KD Bhajan ⦠itād be a lot of fun!
I just might possibly need a bit of help with ⦠well ⦠the ⦠um ⦠Hindi pronunciation. Though Iām not too worried about it, especially since Iām in such good company, sincere-non-Hindi-speaker-wise.
Oh, and, of course (per the video of that song) ⦠Iāll need a bit of help with the female backing vocals (sounds like a job for ) ā¦Yoganiās Angels.

Hi Karmakathy ā welcome!
It was great meeting you at the retreat, and Iām very happy you decided to join us here at the AYP Forum, too.
Lovely pics from the retreat! Hope Iāll be able to attend an AYP retreat someday!
Kirtanman- Iām hooked to where did you get that ring -Krishna Das. Thanks for posting
