Is meditation turning me into a whimp?

Yeah, punching him on the butt doesn’t hurt very much. :astonished:

Ahhh you mean give him a kick that will make him “Out Of Service” for the rest of his life!!!

good idea but you see the punch in the face was a reflex reaction!!
hope there won’t be next time…but good idea for next time :grin:

:grin:

:grin:

never mentioned that incident before nor allowed myself to think or remember it for long!
My intention in mentioning it here just to show a simple situation where being peaceful is not applicable anymore.
Speaking for myself!never reacted violently to oral abuse!but when it comes to feeling physical threatenedI become very violent!
Sorry if my reply is a bit irritating or way far from your peaceful solutions…If this is the case then the best thing is to ignore it… :wink:

A+ dear Delara, I fully agree with you. There are other situations also, like facing radicals or fundementalists… If we’d let them have their way, they would take it all…
All in all I don’t know why but once one starts practicing meditation for a while… Sticky situations become way much less and almost non existent plus things become peaceful around you or you make them so even when they’re usually not.
Speaking for myself, if I would get hit by someone I won’t stand and smile at him. He’ll have a negative reaction from my side :rage:
Om Shanti Om
Love,
Ananda

Dear Ananda;
you are very generous with grades I have to admit!wish u were my teacher :stuck_out_tongue:
yes i agree…maybe because one attracts people and situations which are on same frequency or vibration level ,who knows! :slight_smile:

:grin: Good one… And yes this whole vibrational thing is quite true IMHO, ever since I’ve been on the spiritual path and i’ve been attracted or attracting a lot of people who are like minded to me and we have crossed paths in the most places you wouldn’t expect :slight_smile:
Love,
Ananda

The greatest martial arts masters believe that avoiding or defusing a violent situation is the best solution. The second best is stopping the violence without permanently injuring or killing your opponent. These masters can easily kill you in a second, and choose not to. Nothing wimpy about them at all.
Sometimes the wimpiest people are the ones who are quick to use too much force.

A+ Dear Ether :wink:

Hi Etherfish;
Martial art is all about defeating the other opponent.If one consciously chooses to be in a challenge.He/she has to expect injury which can be deadly sometimes.
I agree that eastern martial art masters who avoid fights are not being wimpy.
but I don’t agree that people who use force to defend themselves if attacked are wimpy either!
we all have different opinions…it’s all relative truth :slight_smile:

Yes of course challenges are about defeating your opponent. I was talking about real world situations the masters are forced into, they consider it better to stop the attacker without killing him. Of course they use force to accomplish that. And you don’t become a master without years of sparring!

As Ananda says…A+ :grin:
