Carson,
I do have a Chester Cheetah skateboard from the '80’s. I do like the meditation/skateboarding idea. Maybe not this year, but it would be great to meet you in person.
Your 'Murican is definitely improving!
Okay. Sept. 11th, 2016 at the Bernheim Forest, Clermont, KY. If you can see this and are a newer member, post here if you are at all interested. I will read it and send you an email. More details to come.
We are for peace. If you are in the area, please join us on this day.
This Sunday! We will meet at the visitors center Bernheim Forest at 9:30am. Meet and greet for a few minutes. It’s a loose schedule aiming for 2 morning practices that stay near the water. Eat lunch then move towards the forest for light hiking and another practice session.
Thing to know:
It will be $5 to enter.
You need to bring water and a packed lunch.
Forest roads close at 4pm, so we need to clear out before then (around 3:30pm leaving time).
If you are new here and are reading this with interest, you need to post in this thread, so I can email you.

Oh man… I am 3.5hrs from there. If this was not the first weekend of the nfl season I would be all in.
JR,
Enjoy the games! We might have a tri-state cluster.
I would love it
Atleast I think I would especially knowing others who are active.
Many thanks to Lalow33 for organizing the KY get-together! Although it was small (just the two of us) it was inspirational to again connect in-person with another AYPer and share both practices and experiences. It felt much like meeting with an old friend. We couldn’t have asked for better weather and Bernheim was both a beautiful and grounding location. I only wish that some of the other (at least relatively) local folks would have been able to be there to experience it as well; it was certainly time well spent.
Yes, it was a nice day. I told the person at the gate that I was there to hike and do yoga. He happened to have just taken his first yoga class the day before, so he was excited to tell me about it.
We were in a public place, so we just went with the flow. My practice times are shorter, so I had some time to notice the people near us. They were very respectful, lowering their voices near us during our practice.
American baba is like an old friend, just like he said. We could have spent the whole day talking. It was so nice to meet him and practice in such a beautiful space.
Kentucky people: how is early December? Out in the cold, or it cold be 80. Lol. Anyone interested?
I am interested – IF the weather will cooperate…
Okay. Email me. Let’s come up with something. I kinda want to do your yoga class even though I’d be ancient in the class.
If I lived closer I would make it, but there is a whole ocean between us too bad…
