A question using the blocking technique as described here

The blocking method uses two finger to close of the flow path during release. Correct?being this still above the point of origin, would it be more effective to put pressure directly on the prostrate at the moment of release to block it there?

Hi James,

The standard blocking technique is to put two fingers on the perineum right behind the base of the lingum and push up hard there during orgasm. This will block the fluids from being released through the lingum, which is the aim of the practice. So, there is no need to be pressing higher up.

The fingers must press hard enough that they are pressing the urethra against the pubic bone above it. This can be done at any point between the testicles and anus, I think, but tends to be more effective closer to the anus because that is closer to where the semen first starts to come out.

Personally I find blocking most easily performed in siddhasana, using the heel instead of fingers. But I guess this depends on your morphology and wether in solo mode or not.
